Krystyna Pyszkova of the Czech Republic clinched the prestigious Miss World 2024 title during an extravagant ceremony held in Mumbai on March 9.

Yasmina Zaytoun, representing Lebanon, secured the position of the first runner-up, while reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska from Poland passed on her crown to her successor amidst the dazzling finale.
Background and Achievement of Krystyna Pyszkova
Pyszkova joins the ranks as the second Miss World from the Czech Republic since Tatana Kucharova’s victory in the 2006 pageant. Described as a Czech model, Pyszkova is currently pursuing degrees in law and business administration, as stated on the official Miss World website.
In her twenties, Pyszkova is not only a polyglot, proficient in English, Polish, Slovak, and German, but also the founder of the Krystyna Pyszko Foundation, advocating for sustainable development through education.
Her philanthropic endeavors include establishing an English school for underprivileged children in Tanzania, where she volunteered. Additionally, she is musically inclined, playing both the transverse flute and the violin, with a passion for art, having spent nine years in an art academy.
India’s Representation in Miss World 2024

India, serving as the host country after 28 years, was represented by 22-year-old Sini Shetty, who was unable to secure a place in the top 4 of the competition.
The 71st Miss World pageant, featuring contestants from 112 countries, unfolded at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. The esteemed judging panel included prominent figures such as film producer Sajid Nadiadwala, actors Kriti Sanon and Pooja Hegde, cricketer Harbhajan Singh, and news personality Rajat Sharma, among others.
Celebration and Performances of Miss World 2024

The event, hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar and former Miss World Megan Young, kicked off with electrifying performances by singers Shaan, Neha Kakkar, and Tony Kakkar.

Furthermore, the cast of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming web series “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar” graced the stage, alongside 13 fast-track Miss World contestants, to showcase the newly released song “Sakal Ban”.
Throughout the month-long event, participants engaged in various competitions, including talent showcases, sports challenges, and charitable initiatives, highlighting their roles as ambassadors of change embodying the essence of “beauty with purpose”, a tagline synonymous with the Miss World pageant.
