The Shiv Sena(UBT) announced its first list of 17 candidates in Maharashtra on wednesday for the upcoming Lok Sabha election that are scheduled to take place in seven phases beginning on April 19, that said to Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut.
MP Raut Said, “With the permission of Uddhav Thackrey we have announced 17 candidates for the Lok Sabha seats today. We are contesting 22 seats. The remaining candidates of Palghar, Hatkanangale, kalyan-dombivli, and Mumbai North will be announced in 24 hours or two days”.

The Shiv Sena released its first list while the Maha Vikas Aghadi(MVA) constituent NCP(Sharadchandra Pawar) haven’t releases a list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024. Also, Congress released its list of two seats Sangli and Mumbai south-central. Maharashtra sends 48 MPs to the Lok Sabha after Uttar Pradesh 80 seats.
Meanwhile, vanchit Bahujan Aghadi chief Prakash Ambedkar who was offered three seats by the MVA for the Lok Sabha polls, will soon be clearing his stand about joining the alliance group.
In response to Ambedkar’s demand of contesting from 27 seats, the MVA offered him three. According to source, he had refused to take this offer following which negotiation came to a standstill.
