Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, the celebrated couple, joyfully announced the arrival of their baby boy, ‘Akaay’, on Tuesday evening.
In an Instagram post, the couple shared, “With immense joy and overflowing love, we are thrilled to share that on February 15, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay/akaay, who joins Vamika as her little brother. We humbly seek your blessings and good wishes during this precious phase of our lives. We kindly request you to respect our privacy at this time. With love & gratitude, Virat & Anushka.” Kohli and Anushka disclosed that their son was born on February 15.

Following the announcement, well-wishers from the film industry and cricket fraternity flooded the comment section with congratulatory messages.
Actor Ranveer Singh expressed his joy with a series of ‘evil eye’ and heart emojis.

Virat and Anushka exchanged vows on December 11, 2017, in Italy. They welcomed their first child, Vamika, on January 11, 2021. The couple had kept their second pregnancy under wraps.
However, former South Africa skipper AB de Villiers revealed on his official YouTube channel that Kohli and Anushka were expecting their second child.
Apologizing to Kohli, De Villiers said, “My friend Virat Kohli is still not available. I appeal to everyone to give him the privacy he deserves. Family comes first. No one knows the exact situation. I urge all of us to respect that. I made a mistake in my previous show, and I apologize to the Kohli family for that.”
Kohli withdrew from India’s ongoing five-match series against England earlier due to personal reasons.
