Fans are getting more and more excited for Nag Ashwin’s upcoming sci-fi dystopian film Kalki 2898 AD, which stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani in important roles. Recently, the creators of the movie have revealed the first glimpse of Amitabh Bachchan’s character, a major step towards the highly anticipated premiere of this year’s most awaited Indian film.
The initial appearance was revealed on Star Sports prior to the commencement of Sunday night’s IPL 2024 game featuring Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans. Earlier that day, the creators had also shared a poster announcing the upcoming first look reveal event. Big B was shown in the poster sitting inside a temple-like building, dressed in cloth from head to toe and with a mask on.
The teaser, which lasts 69 seconds, starts with Bachchan in earthy-colored clothing, sitting in a cave and praying to a Shiva linga. Against a tranquil musical backdrop, a child’s voice is heard inquiring, “Is it possible for you to not perish?” Do you possess divinity? What is your identity?”

Funded by C Aswani Dutt through Vyjayanthi Movies, the soundtrack for “Kalki” is created by Santhosh Narayanan. Despite the initial declaration in January about the film’s global release on May 9, 2024, it appears unlikely as there have been no further updates on the issue up to now.
Character of Bachchan and prabhas
On Sunday, it was announced that in Kalki 2989 AD, Amitabh Bachchan will play the character of Ashwatthama. A new trailer for the movie was aired on Star Sports featuring Amitabh Bachchan wearing yellow attire. He is observed praying in front of a Shiva linga in what appears to be a cave. Nag Ashwin is depicting Prabhas as a superhero in a unique role never seen before. According to the earlier teaser, the movie appears to be an adventure involving space warfare in a sci-fi setting. The highly anticipated teaser is expected to offer a fresh glimpse at what fans can look forward to in this highly-anticipated film, considering the high expectations surrounding it.
