Former Bihar deputy Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Modi on Wednesday revealed that he has been suffering from Cancer for the last six month. Hence, he will not be able to contribute in the upcoming lok sabha Election 2024.
“I have been fighting cancer for the last six months. Now I think it is time to tell people about it. I would not be able to campaign in the Lok Sabha elections. I have informed the Prime Minister about everything. I am always grateful and committed to the state, Bihar and the party,” Mr Modi, 72, wrote. X.

He is 72 year old and a member of BJP election campaign committee. He made this information public before the PM Modi is scheduled to launch the election campaign for the jamui Bihar.

Sushil Kumar Modi who served as a two times Bihar Deputy Chief Minister across 11 year. The first time from November 2005 to June 2013 and second July 2017 to December 2020. Both the time Nitish Kumar was the Chief Minister.
In his career, he served as an Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA), an Member of Legislative Council, a Lok Sabha Member, and a Rajya Sabha MP.
