According to the sources, Rashtriya Lok Dal top leader Lalu Prasad Yadav is ready to offer its India bloc partner Congress nine seats in Bihar for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
In the exchange, Former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav wants Congress should agree to offer two seats to the RJD in neighboring, Jharkhand. The RJD has expressed its wish to contest chatra and palamu seats in the Jharkhand Mukti morcha-governed state.
Likely nine seats that were discussed for Congress such as Sasaram, Kishanganj, Motihar, West Champaran, Motihari, Muzaffarpur, Patna Saheb, Supaul, and Bhagalpur.
CPI(ML) may contest from the Karakat, Ara, and Nalanda. CPI(Marxist) May contest from Khagaria. CPI already announced its candidate from Begusarai Seats.
Interestingly there was a lot of uncertainty about the Purina Lok Sabha seat as the Congress wanted that seat for Pappu Yadav. But the RJD had already named Bima Bharti who had switched from the Janta Dal(United) as its nominee for the seat. While speaking to the reporter “ Pappu Yadav said that he will not abandon Purnia seat. I will not change my decision every mother and every daughter of Purnia sees me as a son and brother. I can leave this world but not Purnia.
An insider of RJD said, “Our talks on seat-sharing are stuck over Pappu Yadav’s matter. We are trying to sort it out. We are offering Pappu Yadav Madhepura o Supaul seat.”
If Pappu Yadav can get Purnea, Bima Bharati, an EBC Gangota, can be asked to contest from Bhagalpur against Ajay Mandal, sitting JD (U) MP and also a Gangota.
