Earlier this month, OJ Simpson, a former National Football League (NFL) player, breathed his last at 76 with no specific reason shared.
On April 10th, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer.
He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren.
During this time of transition, his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace.

However, on Friday, Malcolm Laverne, his estate executor and longtime lawyer, revealed metastatic prostate cancer to be the cause of death.
O.J. had first announced he had cancer in May 2023. In February this year, Simpson underplayed his health condition and thanked people for reaching out in a video clip made public via his X account.

About O.J.
Simpson is known as the former Hall of Fame football player who played in the NFL for 11 seasons, primarily with the Buffalo Bills.
He was a Heisman Trophy recipient and the first NFL player to rush for more than 2,000 yards in a single season in 1973.
Despite being famous for his exceptional football skills, Simpson was relatively infamous for the double-murder trial of his ex-wife and her friend.
About the trial
The O.J. Simpson murder trial was dubbed the “Trial of the Century.” In 1994, he was tried in connection with the brutal double-murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman at her Los Angeles home. The 11-month trial was a massive courtroom drama which attracted huge crowds. The rife was nail-biting with the LAPD’s investigation revelations and the strong arguments by Simpson’s legal team.
The court’s verdict in The People of the State of California v. Orenthal James Simpson was in favour of Simpson. He was an acquitted murderer. Subsequently, the families of the dead sued Simpson for wrongful death. They won the case, and O.J. asked to pay $33.5 million to the families.
It has been said that at the time of his death, he had not made that payment in full yet.
Simpson was cremated on April 17 at Palm Mortuary in downtown Los Angeles, California.
