On May 9, Neeraj Chopra makes India proud again by being designated as the brand ambassador of this year’s Paris Olympics official timekeeper, OMEGA.
Chopra was invited to the OMEGA boutique in Doha, Qatar, ahead of his championship at the Wanda Diamond League to commence on Friday.
This marks the Swiss luxury brand’s 31st occasion as the Official Timekeeper of the Games. OMEGA has been the Official Timekeeper at almost every Olympic Games since 1932.

The company and the Olympic and world championships expressed their delight and excitement in the partnership.
The company said in a statement, “OMEGA is thrilled and proud to welcome Neeraj Chopra to the family. He has been selected by OMEGA for his dedication, excellence, and precision—the very same values that OMEGA strives for in its iconic watchmaking.”
Chopra said, “I am very excited to be a part of such an iconic brand that plays such a huge role in timekeeping at the Olympic Games. I am looking forward to a great association with OMEGA and the upcoming spectacle in Paris.”
Neeraj’s 2024 season
Chopra, the first Asian athlete to win an Olympic gold medal in javelin and the first Asian to win gold at the world championship, will start the 2024 season in Qatar. Last year, he opened the season in the Diamond League with a win by just 4 cm ahead of his competitor. He and Kishore Kumar Jena will lead the line at the 2024 Doha Diamond League javelin.
Followed by the Federation Cup in Odisha on May 15. It will be remarked as Neeraj’s first event on Indian soil since becoming Olympic champion.
The 2024 Summer Olympics is scheduled to take place from 26 July to 11 August 2024 in Paris, Stade de France.
