On April 27, the news of three missing men in Mexico surfaced. Shockingly, three days later, the authorities claimed the missing as murdered.
Who murdered them?
A man, Jesus Gerardo, aka “El Kekas”, charged over the disappearance of the three, was identified as their killer. On Wednesday, the man appeared before the court on kidnapping charges, but officials confirmed that murder charges will soon be laid.

Apart from him, two other suspects a man and a woman, Gerardo’s girlfriend are charged with “forced disappearance”. However, their standing in the case is currently unclear.
What caused their demise?
Three tourists, Australian brothers Jake and Callum Robinson and their American friend Jack Carter Rhoad were on a surfing holiday in the town of Ensenada, about 90 minutes south of the US-Mexico border on the Pacific coast.
Where they were killed while resisting the attempt to steal their pickup truck. It is anticipated that they were trying to stop the tyres of the truck.
The missing tourists were found dead in a cliffside well in the state of Baja California six days after they disappeared. Each body was found with a gunshot on the head.
The vehicle, which had been set on fire, was found nearby.
The state where the bodies were found, Baja California is regarded as one of Mexico’s most violent states, as local drug gangs fight turf wars.
The incident has sparked anger and fear in the state, with many protesters marching the streets of the city.
