It is our duty to protect religion, country and society and service to humanity. We are working for the welfare of society following the path shown by the Gurus”, he said.
Significance of the Book Release
Chief Minister Khattar announced the museum project while releasing a book at an event at Kurukshetra University. The book, titled ‘Guruvani ki Seekh – Sewa aur Sewak Manohar Lal’, is penned by Prabhleen Singh and covers the efforts undertaken by the Haryana government over the last nine and a half years to honor Sikh traditions.
However, Khattar suggested a change in the title of the book, emphasizing the need to reflect more on the teachings of the gurus rather than the individual. The book, available in English, Hindi, and Punjabi languages, encapsulates the government’s initiatives in celebrating key Sikh figures like Guru Nanak Dev, Guru Gobind Singh, and Baba Banda Singh Bahadur.
More follow up- Gurudwara
Furthermore, Khattar disclosed the formation of a separate Gurdwara Management Committee for managing gurdwaras in Haryana, and the establishment of a separate poll body to conduct elections to the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, thereby ensuring the smooth functioning and management of Sikh religious affairs in the state.
