In a sneak peek provided by CNN for the next show of Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace, Real Time host and comedian Bill Maher gave his thoughts on the upcoming 2024 elections. Although he often criticizes former President Donald Trump, Maher couldn’t help but acknowledge that “he’s running a much more serious campaign this time.”
Maher recently published his most opinionated book ever, titled What This Comedian Said Will Shock You, openly highlighting the extreme polarization in the current political discussion in the US. While it is believed that his discussion with Wallace mainly focused on the overall excitement about the current election buzz, he also elaborated on his theories about who will most likely be elected president this autumn.
Maher’s prediction for ’24 US elections
Delving further into the topic, the divisive comedian stated that regardless of the election outcome, Trump will make an appearance on inauguration day and insist that he emerged victorious. Maher concluded that is the one thing he can predict absolutely with complete certainty.
Additionally, he stated, “Despite my repeated claims over the years, he will never accept defeat in an election.” He definitely won’t admit defeat on this one.
Exploring the potential for a return of ‘Trump 2.0,’ the author of the What This Comedian Said Will Shock You stated, “I refuse to panic constantly throughout the entire process.” I believe he only focuses on gaining power.
He simply desires to retrieve it. This man is most likely going to become president again. Currently, he is definitely in the lead and Biden doesn’t seem to be a strong candidate.
Even though Maher says he is staying calm for the moment, the outcome of the elections will determine the final outcome. Wallace also prodded him, inquiring if he would go crazy once the outcomes were revealed. Maher reluctantly admitted, “We might lose more than just my sanity.”
The latest edition of Who’s Speaking with Chris Wallace aligns with further talks about Trump as the likely Republican candidate has been found guilty on all 34 charges in the prominent hush money case. Trump became the initial American president with a criminal conviction, claiming the trial was fixed and others involved were corrupt.
US pollster Frank Luntz has cautioned about possible future events, saying that if Trump goes to jail, he will be viewed as a martyr. Less than an hour after Trump’s decision was revealed, the increasing figures on the donation page for the Republican presidential nominee highlighted the dysfunctional reality. The President Trump’s campaign page posted on social platforms stated that a large number of Americans were inspired to contribute to his campaign, causing the WinRed pages to crash.
