Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the Aam Aadmi Party on Wednesday created a website named “AAP ka Ram Rajya” to highlight the achievements of its governments in Delhi and Punjab, which they compare to “Ram Rajya.”
Atishi, Saurabh Bharadwaj, Jasmine Shah, and senior officials Sanjay Singh oversaw the website www.aapkaramrajya.com’s debut at the party headquarters.
AAP representatives encouraged the public to visit the website and cast their votes based on the job that their governments have been doing locally during a joint news conference.
They claimed that in order to realize the dream of “Ram Rajya,” Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had done amazing things in the last ten years, including building good schools, mohalla clinics, free water and electricity, and free bus rides for women. They also claimed that in the previous two years, the Bhagwant Mann government had carried out comparable work in Punjab.
Ram Navami fell on the same day as the debut of aapkaramrajya.com. Senior AAP Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh asserted during the event that Kejriwal and the AAP government were setting an example for the rest of the globe. He went on to explain that whereas in the past people would say “learn from America,” the wife of the US President now says she wants Arvind Kejriwal to build schools. He claimed that Americans are now learning from Kejriwal’s work, alluding to Melania Trump’s 2020 visit to a government school in Delhi.
Several films illustrating the different projects and policies introduced by the AAP government in Delhi and Punjab, along with people’s enthusiastic comments on them, are available on the website and on a YouTube channel of the same name.
Singh claimed that Kejriwal was not with his people on Ram Navami for the first time and that this was the reason he was jailed in a “baseless” case based on testimony from “false” witnesses.
“Working in the best interests of everyone is the idea behind Arvind Kejriwal’s ‘Ram Rajya‘ concept, where nobody is big or small.” The AAP’s Lok Sabha campaign website was created on Ram Navami with this in mind, Singh remarked. He declared, “People ought to see that work, learn about it, and then join us.”
Atishi quoted a verse from Ramcharitmanas and added, “Just as Lord Ram fulfilled all his promises amid hardships, Kejriwal is fighting all the difficulties, working for the people, and fulfilling his promises in the same manner.”
Bharadwaj explained that the AAP aimed to create a “moral, well-fed state where people do not suffer” while elucidating the notion of “Ram Rajya”.
According to AAP employee Jasmine Shah, information about the work done by the Kejriwal government included “verified data and facts,” not just political claims.
Virendra Sachdeva, the president of Delhi BJP, mentioned that AAP had previously criticized the Ram temple and even Kejriwal was against it. In 2023, upon realizing the public’s enthusiastic reception of the temple, Kejriwal’s party swiftly shifted their position overnight and began presenting themselves as advocates for the temple’s construction.
He expressed that the launch of their website is causing a lot of pain to the residents of Delhi.
