Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Chennai super kings by the Six wickets in the Eighteen game of IPl 2024 played in the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
SRH won the toss and decided to field first as they managed to limit CSK to 164/5 in 20 overs leading to the the Hyderabad bowling unit chipped in with five different bowlers picking up a wicket each.
However, Shivam Dube’s Quickfire 49 and Ravindra Jadeja’s cameo helped CSK to a respectable finish.
Replacing T Natarajan, Pat Cummins made the right move by sending Travis Head to open with Abhishek Sharma chasing a target of 166.
The hosts got off to a flying start as Abhishek Sharma scored a quickfire 37 off just 12 deliveries while Travis Head top scored with 31 runs before Aiden Markram hit a half-century to lift SRH to pole position.
Heinrich Klaasen and Nitish Reddy remained unbeaten as SRH crossed the finish line in 11 deliveries.
With that victory, SRH get on the 4-point bandwagon. They are now the fifth team with four points, with CSK still at the top of the group and in third place because of their net run rate.
