The First ever Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 took place at Delhi’s Pragati Maidan from February 1 to 3, featuring more than 600 exhibitors and attracting 80,000 registered visitors bringing spotlight of new age technology that drive the Indian automobile industry to third largest in the world. From enthusiastic showcases to B2B solutions of industry and stakeholders, the expo promises to offer something people oriented value chain.
With a focus on new-age components, tech, future fuels and a growing EV ecosystem, the expo also features dedicated exhibitions on automation, urban mobility solutions, EV charging solutions and more.
Showcase
The EQG, derived from the renowned G-Class 4×4, showcases the future of luxury lifestyle vehicles. Alongside, the expo featured displays of the new GLA and AMG GLE 53 Coupe. Toyota Kirloskar Motor is set to exhibit a range, including a Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and a Hydrogen Fuel-Cell EV, emphasizing its commitment to advanced sustainable mobility solutions. The company’s showcase aligns with the ‘Grow India – Grow with India’ theme, emphasizing Make-in-India initiatives and contributing to the advancement of eco-friendly technologies.
Toyota is placing a spotlight on flexi-fuel technologies that not only reduce carbon emissions but also stimulate the rural economy. The expo serves as a platform for showcasing the company’s dedication to aligning with government priorities, emphasizing self-reliance, and achieving energy independence. Through various green technology options, as well as localized production and skill enhancement initiatives, Toyota is actively contributing to the ‘Make-in-India’ agenda and supporting key national objectives.

Broadly, the expo featured informative sessions, workshops, conferences, roundtables and various interactions for business-to-business, government- to-government and business-to-consumer stakeholders.
The three-day expo was supported by top industry bodies such as the Society of Automobile Manufacturers Association (SIAM), Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA), Automotive Tyre Manufacturers’ Association (ATMA), Society of Manufacturers of Electric Vehicles (SMEV) and NASSCOM. Unlike the usual Auto Expo, the Bharat Mobility Global Expo focusing more on the future of the industry and will not only be focused on showcasing new cars.
It highlights India’s growing reputation as the leading destination for innovative automotive software solutions, industrial automation and autonomous mobility. Urban solutions such as e-bikes and sustainability through alternative powertrains and new-age materials like green steel are under the spotlight as well. Moreover, with India now being one of the largest vehicle manufacturing markets, the expo will also serve as a convergence point for potential investors and prop up India as the destination for new manufacturers.
